off strip, non-casino hotel

I am traveling with my family Sedona - San Francisco area. We would like to break oour journey and stay at a Las Vegas off-strip, non-casino hotel for one night. Any recommendations for a family friendly hotel with a nice pool?

Thanks.

Actually, I%26#39;m looking for a hotel outside the strip area. Perhaps a nearby town. Thanks!

Quite a few options but impossible to answer without any clue about your budget. How much roughly do you want to spend per night on a room? Midweek or weekend?

Without knowing this your choice could potentially stretch from a Super 8 to the Ritz Carlton..... :-)

Agree with Blagger...we could suggest anything from Lake Las Vegas to Red Rock, so please give us more details, and we%26#39;ll be glad to help :)

Holiday Inn Express has many locations around town, as does Choice Hotels International (Quality, Comfort, Clarion)

Marriott Residence Inn and Marriott Courtyard have several locations. Embassy Suites, etc.

It would be mid-week in July. I am looking for a good deal, since it will just be a one night stop to break our long journey. How about Summerlin area?

I%26#39;m noticing that casino hotels are much less expensive, makes sense! Red Rock is less expensive than Hampton Inn, so I think we%26#39;ll do the casino hotel. How about Sunccoast, Sante Fe Station, or Orleans all in Summerlin? Any thoughts? Thanks for your feebback.

Suncoast is in Summerlin, Orleans is not, not sure about Santa Fe Station. Summerlin is a residential community (suburb) northeast of LV. I%26#39;ve been to the Suncoast a couple of times (not overnight, just to visit with friends who live in S), and it has a movie theater, live theater, bowling alley, etc., etc. so it would be good for families, but it also has a huge casino.

You don%26#39;t have to go into any casino, and often the hotels with them are better values.

Thanks Warmwinds. Was Suncoast a nice updated hotel? It is pricing at $48 which sounds great. Red Rock is $90 which I would pay if was that much superior to the competition. Is it? Thanks again.

I%26#39;ve only been in the casino and one of the restaurants, but I thought the Suncoast was very nice. Didn%26#39;t see the pool, but I%26#39;m sure they have one. I have no idea if it%26#39;s on your routing for your trip, but if you have kids with you I think it%26#39;s a fine place.
