Anyone stay at the Las Vegas Hilton lately?

My best friend has airline tickets and was planning to go to Vegas with his girlfriend. Girlfriend cancelled now he wants me to go. Don%26#39;t want to spend much on hotel. The best deal I found is the Las Vegas Hilton, checking in April 30 for 3 nights for $200.00. I%26#39;ve only been in the Hilton for the Star Trek Experience years ago. I figured it was right on the monorail line so it would be easy getting around. Does anyone have any opinios on the Hilton, good or bad?

We just stayed there in March for 4 nights and had a great time! No issues getting down to the strip, the hotel was kind of dead. My only complaint was not all restaurants were open and we were there for a work convention, so our meal times took a while due to lack of choice.

The slots were loose, we won a whole bunch especially on the WOZ machines and some 777 bonus machine! If you%26#39;re planning to go to the strip alot, it won%26#39;t be a problem. Rooms were clean, we got to check in as soon as we arrived - have fun!

We had a free room there in January. My husband was in a video poker tourney and the room was comped for that reason. We were staying elsewhere but took the room and used it between his sessions of play.

Like the above poster said, the room was clean and in good repair. It wasn%26#39;t luxury but it was a good room. I liked the fact that a cup of coffee at the coffee bar was not too far away from the elevators. If you are looking for a good deal on a spa treatment remember that every Thursday afternoon ladies enjoy 1/2 off on massages at the spa. It%26#39;s a good value for a standard spa. I like their hot stone massage.

I like the place, multiple stays over the years, most recently in January of this year. Mid-range property, not fancy. But I usually don%26#39;t recommend it for people coming to town with Strip attractions in mind.

Yes, the monorail is there, but it%26#39;s still a minor pain to leave and return to the property 2-3 times a day to do something on the Strip. The other option is taking a $10-$12 taxi trip anytime you want to get somewhere.

What are your dates of travel? You may be able to find some better rates at other hotels. Mirage and MGM are running some very good rates right now. Check the rates on SmartVegas.com. I like using that site because they link you directly to the hotel site with the best current ';deals';.

It%26#39;s in the original post - April 30 for three nights. Busy weekend in Las Vegas, a lot of people come in for betting on the Kentucky Derby, among other things.

I think the LVH is one of the best in it%26#39;s price range - the monorail is a bonus if you won;t have a vehcle. We have friends who stay here often - they received comps from an initial visit and now play regularly.

The basic renovated rooms are nice - bathroom is small, well appointed.

LVH has one of the best sportsbooks, great VP and decent table games - at lower limts.

hit enter to early!

Also has a nice pool area and spa. The buffet is just OK, since they offer coupons you can usually dine 241. Some like that the dinner buffet includes beer/wine.

We stayed in July and loved it. Room was very nice, had fun in the casino and had a great late night snack in the coffee shop. Buffet was good but small.

Sports book is the best! They have great odds. The only sports book where I will place a bet.

I have never stayed there, but the casino was great. They had lots of $.25 WOF and lots of 9/6 JOB. My only complaint was the smell they pump into the place! It was an awful perfume smell, but once you made it into the sports book you couldn%26#39;t smell it anymore.

I have been getting offers from the Hilton and would like to try it out sometime. Be sure to write a TR and let us know how it was. I think you are going to have fun no matter where you stay! Enjoy %26amp; good luck..

The only place (to my knowledge) that still gives actual cash back on their players card.
