HET comp room confusion

When I returned from LV a few weeks ago I was pleased to find that for the rest of 2009 I could get rooms from Caesars to IP comped. Just a few weekends here and there at Caesars would cost me a little.

When I checked yesterday to start planning a September trip Caesars is now gone (not comped), not a single day anymore. The rest were still there so I booked 5 free nights at Paris before they dissapear aswell.

Then checking today fri/sat at Paris and Rio are now at a cost?? Even the weekend I booked for free yesterday.

Not complaning, am happy with whatever I get. Just wondering if HET normally do this? I mean it can%26#39;t be that suddenly from one day to the next they are close to being sold out in nov-dec so just wondering what the point is in letting me know I have comped rooms at Caesars and then a week later change it.

Anyone else noticed this? or know why they are doing so.

HET comp room confusion

It%26#39;s pretty typical.

They will give great offers, then pull them back after you book a room or do anything that makes you average daily theoretical loss drop.

I%26#39;ve had situations where I saw comped room offers appear, then disappear when I clicked reload.

HET comp room confusion

Happened to me as well.

I stayed comped 5 nights in August at CP .Went in Febuary-stayed at other hotels and 3 nights at Paris, not gambling as much as other trips at HET properties. Now they are not showing CP on alot of my dates.

hmm....I can understand if they might change whats comped after me having made a booking and surely adjust comp based on last stay but...

Here the situation was that after my last stay in march I found all hotels comped, had next to nothing comped before so this was based on my resent stay. Then a week later (no bookings made or anything) Caesars is pulled back. Well, Caesars or not Im able to put together a great sep trip so no prob..

Just trying to find the logic in this

Think yourself lucky that you get e-mails offering you you reduced or comped rooms, we have been to Vegas a couple of times and are going again in June and we have never received any mails offering us comped rooms even though we have a totals reward card and have stayed at a Harrahs hotel.

It%26#39;s happened to me too, although I%26#39;m not sure why it changed. I had to change dates for a trip, so I cancelled my reservation at Caesars, and rebooked on dates that showed me as being comped. However, when I got to the next screen in the reservation process, I got a message that the rates had just changed, and to try again. Sure enough, I was no longer comped.

Strangely, it had a happy ending. I checked back later that day, and was comped. I QUICKLY made the reservation!

Always phone I always get better than offered on Internet deals by phoning Property directly and having the reservations person find my best deal.

fergie,

I dont actually get emails, its when you log in on the Harrahs site and search for rooms using the ';flexible with your arrival calender'; you see what your rate is or what hotels has comped rooms.

Its hard to believe you dont get at least reduced roomrates having been staying/playing at a HET??

';we have never received any mails offering us comped rooms even though we have a totals reward card and have stayed at a Harrahs hotel.';

Just having a TR card or staying previously in a Harrah%26#39;s property is of little or no significance in terms of future comps. Actual play racked up on the card is all that matters.

Kim, as a previous poster suggested I would call casino marketing at Caesars or whatever other hotels you%26#39;re interested in rather than relying on what%26#39;s showing on the Harrah%26#39;s website. In the current economic climate there%26#39;s every chance they would offer you something better than you already have.

You will also notice as the dates get closer to today the comps decrease or go away.

Me thinks that they are just doing bisnuess as the comps get taken and they dee thier expected fill rate go up they cut back on the comps.

Back in FEB they had all sorts of everything cheep and it seemed ro work, possably better than expected, so they are cutting back little by little .

Just like the MGM rates oftem are better the further ahead you book.

It seems like the economey is getting better, maybe just by a little, but better none the less,

The stock market is up. And America seems to be starting to think that we will get through this after all.

Despite what the ditto deads, comondant rush and sean, everyones favroite little ball of hate want you to believe.

The sun still rises in the east, yes virginia there is a santa claus,

and LAS VEGAS WILL SURVIVE.

I was told before that they have so many rooms for comp on a certain day %26amp; if they give away that many comp rooms for that day then they won%26#39;t give any more comp for that day. It%26#39;s like the airlines they have so many seats at a certain deal %26amp; then they go to full price. I hope you can follow the logic or understand what I%26#39;m trying to say.
