MGM Grand Bungalo King less expensive than queen. Why?

I have already booked my room for next month but I was wondering why the bungalo king is less expensive than the queen. Thanks.

Not sure why that is. If you don%26#39;t need the queen go for the king. I%26#39;m sure they will allow you to switch. We actually found a great promo code where we got a Bungalow King for $91 a night in May. That code has since expired, but call and ask, it couldn%26#39;t hurt to do some snooping around. Like to know what you find out.

i just checked a few dates on the mgm website - the price was the same for both selections

some hotels charge more for 2 queens v 1 king

why not ask mgm

Probably because there are more King than Queen Suites. So it is another supply/demand issue.

travelerer,

Those rates have been fluctuating quite a bit this last week. Usually the king and queen are the same. Probably only an adjustment in demand for the period you are looking at. Nothing to worry about - it will shift again.

Enjoy the trip and let us know how you like the king room. I booked one too and hope it is great.

For the night we are staying the 2 Queen Bungalow room is significantly cheaper than the King Bungalow .I think its all due to demand on a particular day

hulk: 2 grumpy comments don%26#39;t make a right....

travelerer: what promo code did you book your reservation under? Most times than not, the base price for the bungalow suite is the same. MGM is infamous for experiencing technical glitches with their website. Supply and demand may have something to do with it, but I%26#39;ve been looking at MGM room rates for several years and I have never seen different prices for king %26amp; queen.

The rates are definitely different today for the period I booked. Just a few dollars, but different.

And I agree that it is a lot easier and more fun to get answers on this forum than to call the hotel every time we have a question. Otherwise, why have a forum?

I don%26#39;t remember the promo code because I booked a few months ago but the dates are May 11-15 and the basic room rates were 50.00 with a 20.00 upgrade for a bungalo king and 30.00 for a bungalo queen. I am getting the bungalo king for 70.00 per night and no free buffet but I don%26#39;t care! I can%26#39;t even imagine how long the buffet lines will be if the food is free and I plan on getting all my meals comped when I check out anyways.

U2tuf, not grumpy here, just wanting everybody to get along and be nice.
