Best ';romantic'; dining

This is a tough question I know. I have been trying to do some research on the best rest. for a special occassion.

Needs great ambiance but I would rather have some charm and warmth than a %26#39;you are lucky to be here atmosphere%26#39;. I would be more interested in great service and atmosphere than necessarily having a 5 course gastronimical extravagance. A few suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Picasso looks interesting (we will stay at Bellagio or Mirage) Maybe the Eiffel tower. I would like to get out for under $400 with a bottle of wine and that sounds like a task at many of the premier joints. Thanks in advance.

Not The Eiffel Tower. Nice place but loud and not romantic. $200 a person is very doable. A lot depends on the food you want. Steak, French, American? Many of the nicest places are a bit noisy for a romantic night.

I will suggest a place that many will put down because they have never been. We have had very quiet romantic dining experiences at Hugo%26#39;s Cellar Downtown. American cuisine. Good food, great attention to detail, wonderful service. Bill will be well under $400 for two.

I had my parent%26#39;s 40th anniversary dinner after their vow renewal at Lawrys the Prime Rib. Its off strip, but not too far - you could easily be out for under $400 - heck, probably closer to $250 for two of you. We all really liked it - the service is impeccable, and it isn%26#39;t, as you call it - a ';you are lucky to be bere'; atmosphere that you get with some of the celebrity chef places. The review%26#39;s on here.

I like Aureole for romance.

I%26#39;d say MiX, but with one caveat: it%26#39;s got an arctic theme so the environment is very much ';cool'; (all white, with crystal chandeliers and igloos). We had outstanding service and incredible food on our visit last year. Plus it%26#39;s got probably the best view on the Strip:

i enjoyed the voodoo steakhouse for our anniversary dinner. very good service, great views, good food, and great atmosphere. afterwards, you can check out the voodoo lounge, for a few drinks (before it gets too busy) and go out on the patio for great views.
