Narrowed down to Three

Ok have picked three hotels that fit my criteria. Family of four needing large room and bathroom in centre of strip. Presume by research all fit this. They are The Venetian, The Palazzo and The Encore. Really need some help deciding. All are similar prices with the first being slightly cheaper and last the most expensive. Can anyone give me their honest opinion on the hotels as far as better or worse. Also is the perfume smell at the venetian really that bad and is it also at the Palazzo? I know there are lots of hotels in vegas but 700sqft rooms plus are ideal. So if I somehow have missed another hotel matching above would like to know also. Comparisons etc would be great thanks.

Another question also with the sister hotels presume that you can utilise both facilities of each?

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Venetian and Palazzo so I will give you my opinion on them.

The Venetian is beautiful, but I feel the Palazzo is better. We used to stay at the Venetian until the Palazzo opened. Now, it%26#39;s only the Palazzo for us. I feel like the Palazzo is a toned down (not as ';themey'; as the Venetian), more upscale version of the Venetian. The service at the Palazzo is impeccable. They seem to really go out of their way to make sure they have happy guests. I don%26#39;t have any complaints about the Venetian, there are just things I like better about the Palazzo. The rooms are almost the same in both - very nice. I like the pool area better at the Palazzo. There%26#39;s about 7 pools (both bigger and smaller) and over 100 cabanas and the veiws from the pool are breathtaking. It%26#39;s very relaxing. Both hotels basically have the same amenities. Canyon Ranch has expanded and is in both the Venetian and Palazzo. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me.

If your family of four includes children you really don%26#39;t want to stay at Encore. Wynn/Encore is not only not family-friendly they discourage children. They actually have security at the entrances to prevent the entrance of strollers. And there are no family-friendly dining or entertainment options.

Venetian on the other hand attracts a fairly large amount of families. The rooms are perfect for younger children, with the living room area that has it%26#39;s own TV. Also there are 2 food courts and lots to see in the public areas.

Another good choice would be THEhotel. All rooms there are real suites (unlike Venetian or Encore) over 800sq ft. with seperate living room and bedroom. They also have 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, a big plus for multiple people sharing a room. Also you have the best pool area in town which include a beach and wavepool and a lazy river.

You say you want center strip. Of the 3 you mention non meet that requirement. All 3 you mention are north strip. I happen to like it there better, but many do not.

Agree that if you have kids, skip Encore %26amp; Wynn.

IMO yes the perfume smell at the V is over whelming. Always sets off an allergy attack for me, so I avoid the place if I can. I do not notice it as bad at Palazzo. Also Palazzo has a club level that is worth any extra.

Don%26#39;t forget about Caesar%26#39;s and Bellagio. Both are center strip.

I would suggest Venetian for the following reasons:

- Slightly less expensive than Palazzo for essentially the same room

- More close to center strip than the others (Encore%26#39;s location, IMO, makes it my bottom choice)

- Better access to family friendly restaurants and activities

IMO the smell at Venetian is strong when you walk in, but I actually like it. Palazzo has a smell but it%26#39;s not very strong. The rooms at Venetian and Palazzo are also probably better suited for a family than the rooms at Encore.

There appears to be this misconception that children are not allowed at the Wynn/Encore. That is incorrect. If you are a guest at either the Wynn/Encore and have children in a stroller they give you an ID card that you attach to the stroller that will allow you any where on their property. They just want to limit the number of non guests with children, strollers from over running their public areas. Security are trained very well to look for these cards on your stroller and they will not even approach you if it is visible.
